Bottlenose Dolphins

at Dolphinaris

Currently, thirty bottlenose dolphins call Dolphinaris home. We have two species of dolphins:

  • The Common Bottlenose Dolphin (T. truncatus), found in most warm to tropical oceans; color sometimes almost blue; has a dark line from beak to blowhole.
  • The Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphin (T. aduncus), living in the waters around India, Australia and South-China; back is dark-gray and belly is white with gray spots.

Nineteen of these Dolphinaris dolphins are female, while the remaining eleven are males.

Soley
I'm a young dolphin and a little absent-minded. I like to jump and I'm learning to play with a ball. I hope to show you my new tricks when you come and visit.
Simo
I'm a hyperactive but confident female dolphin and I'm also Atlas' Mom.
Solomon
I was born on January 10, 2005. I'm a smart and fast learning male dolphin. I like ice cubes and jumping in my free time.
Troya
I'm Nike's daughter and I was born on August 25, 2004. I'm really smart, kind and tolerant.
Tulagi
I'm kind of a serious and analytical type dolphin but I'm also very smart.
Mercurio
I'm one of the more dominant dolphins of the group. When I do my tricks, I work with my buddy, Squalo.
Atlantis
I'm dominant, selective and a very competitive dolphin.
Olympia
I'm the leader of the group and I'm very patient, nice but a little persistent. I love to hang out with people and have them pet me.
Nautica
I'm a really nice dolphin and like having a little fun, even if it means making my trainers mad!
Pablo
I was born on January 27, 2004. I'm a laid-back dolphin that learns really quickly and sometimes, I like to make my trainers mad.
